Whimsy stamp challenge

This is my card for the following challenge over at
Whimsy Stamps Challenge
We have a new challenge for you this week and it's a recipe! We want you to create a project using 2 different patterned papers (or create your own papers with different techniques), 1 ribbon, and 3 embellishments such as brads, buttons, or flowers.

I made the flowers using a punch, using the same 2 different patterned papers which I then put through the cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder using my Big Shot & used largish brads for the flower middles. The ribbon is from my Ribbon Oasis stash :-)

Challenge card for C.R.A.F.T challenge

This is the sketch for the challenge.

And this is my interpretation - this is a really nice sketch to play with :-) I used K&Co papers, my fairy stamp & blooms with the pearl brads as middles & a Happy Birthday sentiment.

A Couple of Father's Day cards

For this card I used one of the stamps that I won on blog candy over on Amrosia & Iron - Joannes blog & coloured it with Copics.

For this card I made the rosette using ribbon pleated into a circle & the middle punched out using a circle punch, which I hand wrote No 1 Dad. It was mounted onto the backing paper & the Happy Father's Day sentiment mounted using sticky fixers.

And a sneak peak at my own father's Fathers Day card ........................................
Well it is 11 hours ahead of us in Australia :-) so early morning in Melbourne & already Father's Day :-)

Again using my Cornish Heritage stamp :-) I can see it's going to be a useful one.

And yes I know that the Aussie Mother's & Father's Days are different dates but Mum & Dad are British (& only been in Oz for 4 yrs) & I've been celebrating on the same day for 50+ yrs.....................................

50th Birthday Card

Well I can now reveal the 50th birthday card I made for a Craft Club member as we had the birthday meal after Craft Club yesterday & she has the card now :-) Her birthday isn't actually until Saturday so the celebrations began early :-)

I used one of my Big blooms & punches & stamps to create the card.

On the way home later in the day I saw this beautiful double rainbow. I just had to stop & take a photo. By the time I'd stopped the car & got my camera out it had faded a little .......................... but it was a gorgeous sight :-)

Quick make

I've just done a quick acceptance to a 50th birthday party RSVP card this morning. I stamped the background using the Paper Artistry number stamp then used my distress inks on the background. Used punches for the Thank you sentiment which I again distress inked to tie in & stamped the image & tickets onto some bit's of 12 x 12 & cut out. Off to the post box now :-)

Push Pull Card Tutorial

I've had a few requests for the instructions for this Push/Pull card.
So here you go

You will need :-
In addition to your usual basic craft kit
1 1/2 sheets of A4 size card
An A5 size card for matting
piece of plastic bag (I used a bit of a cello bag)
Brad
Ribbon
Embellishments

1) Take an A4 sheet of card portrait. Measure 13cms & cut.

2) Take the large piece & turn landscape & score (from left to right) at 2.5cms, 12cms, 21.5cms to give folds of 2.5 cms, 9.5cms, 9.5cms & 8cms.

3) Make 2 notches in the right hand side top & bottom by measuring 3cms from the bottom & 3cms from the last fold & 1cm deep, cut out notch.

4) Using a small circle punch cut a half circle in the middle of the first left hand side 9 cm portion.

5) Cut a strip of plastic bag (I used a cello bag) to fit between the notches & overlap slightly.

6) Secure between the notches so that it is snug but movable. I used double sided tape to secure.

7) Using the strip that was left at stage 1 place landscape & measure & cut at 11cm & 22cm.

8) Using the A5 piece of card matt onto the pieces of card as shown & stamp your image/sentiment.

9) Place the image so that it will be face down & secure onto the plastic with a glue dot or small piece of DS tape on the left hand side.

10) Fold up the bottom portion & secure image with another glue dot on the right hand side image face up.

11) Check that the mechanism works by pulling the images.

12) Fold up & secure with glue or DS tape.

13) Your project should look like this :-

14) Take the last 1/2 of card & fold in half

15) Attatch the mechanism part of the card to the folded card.

16) Add the ribbon with a brad to the pull out side underneath the half circle to give something to pull. Then embellish the card.

Hope you enjoy the project - it has lots of possibilities :-) ..........................................
